Professional Bedroom & Wardrobe Respray Services

Refresh tired fitted wardrobes, bedroom doors and matching furniture when the structure is sound and the finish is the problem.

Why Respray Your Bedroom Furniture?

Your bedroom should be a calm space that reflects your personal style and provides a calming retreat at the end of every day. But over the years, fitted wardrobes, bedside tables, and dressing tables can start to look dated. Colours that once felt fresh become tired, wood-effect laminates begin to peel at the edges, and brass handles from the early 2000s remind you that your room hasn't been updated in far too long.

Replacing fitted bedroom furniture can become a bigger project than people expect. It can mean removing units made for that exact room, making good the walls behind them, then waiting for new cabinetry to be manufactured and installed. It is disruptive, dusty and stressful.

Bedroom respraying can be a better alternative when the furniture is sound and the layout still works. Revitalize Resprays refinishes existing fitted wardrobes and bedroom furniture with a professional sprayed finish, so the room can feel fresh again without defaulting to a full rip-out.

Suitability depends on the furniture, the existing surface and the condition underneath. Revitalize can assess MDF, solid wood, melamine-faced chipboard and veneer surfaces, including sliding wardrobes, hinged wardrobes, walk-in dressing rooms, storage above beds, alcove units and freestanding pieces.

What We Can Respray in Your Bedroom

Revitalize can assess fitted wardrobe doors, drawer fronts, cornice and pelmet mouldings, end panels, plinths and interior shelving. Bedside cabinets, chests of drawers and dressing tables can also be reviewed when a matching bedroom finish is wanted.

Sliding wardrobe doors need a condition check because the panel, frame and track are separate parts of the system. Surface refinishing does not repair worn runners or structural faults, so those issues are identified before a spraying scope is agreed.

Wooden headboards and bed frames can also be assessed. Their joints, existing coating and the practicalities of dismantling or masking decide whether spraying is a sensible option.

Our Bedroom Respray Process

Every bedroom respray begins with reviewing the furniture, the surface condition and the finish you want. Bryan, the founder of Revitalize, has more than 25 years of wood-finishing experience and uses that trade judgement to decide whether respraying is sensible before a written quote is prepared.

1

Protection & Masking

The room, flooring and nearby furnishings are protected around the agreed spray area. What needs moving and masking is confirmed for the particular bedroom before work starts.

2

Surface Preparation

Substrate, condition and construction are checked before the process is confirmed. Cleaning, abrasion, repairs and hardware removal are then matched to the agreed furniture and coating system.

3

Primer Application

The primer is selected for the substrate and existing finish. Suitability is checked first rather than assuming one system is right for melamine, laminate, MDF, wood and veneer.

4

Topcoat Application

Furniture-grade coatings are applied with sanding and curing time between stages where the system requires it. The aim is a smooth sprayed finish that suits the furniture and the room.

5

Final Inspection & Handover

All masking is removed, handles and hardware are refitted, and the room is left clean and tidy. We walk you through the finished result and provide aftercare instructions to keep your furniture looking immaculate.

What affects the scope

Smaller fitted bedroom scope

Quote after assessment

  • Wardrobe doors and drawer fronts
  • Preparation matched to the surface
  • Coating system agreed for the furniture
  • Matt or satin finish
  • Written scope before booking

Larger or higher-detail bedroom scope

Condition-led quote

  • Agreed wardrobe doors, drawers and ancillary pieces
  • Condition-led preparation and repair
  • Extra repair and preparation where needed
  • Agreed colour and sheen
  • Hardware scope agreed before booking
  • Written scope before booking

Choosing a Bedroom Colour

Bedroom colour decisions should be made against the room rather than from a screen alone. Daylight, wall colour, flooring and handles can all change how a shade reads. A RAL or BS reference gives the quote a clear starting point, with the final colour and sheen recorded in the written scope.
